Our Story

It started with one church that opened its doors.

Next Door Nations grew out of a simple discovery: the nations we prayed to reach overseas had quietly moved in down the street. Refugees from Congo. Students from China. Families from Moldova. So one church started showing up — with ESL classes, shared meals, a community garden, rides, weddings, baptisms, and a place at the table.

Founder Matt Barfield saw what happened next: people who thought they'd never find a home in America found a church that felt like family. Now Next Door Nations exists to hand that same playbook to churches everywhere — so the welcome that changed a few streets can change a nation.
